Some of you may already have heard, but for those who haven't, HOUSE & GARDEN NUTRIENTS have ceased trading in Europe and are in the process of moving operations to America.

What does this mean for you, the product user?

The Hydro Store still has a very limited stock of certain products and you may find that other shops may have a limited supply also. But aside from the existing stock in the UK we are told that no further House & Garden Nutrients will be available in the next 6 months.

Alternatives for House & Garden Nutrients

We know a lot of growers out there loved some of the products in the House & Garden Nutrients range especially Roots Excelurator, Shooting Powder, Top Shooter, Multizyme, Bud XL...  the list goes on, they produced a great range of really great products.

A great alternative to House & Garden Shooting Powder that we have sourced is a product called BREAKOUT POWDER from Aptus Nutrients. This product is designed to be used in the same way as Shooting Powder, i.e.;

1 sachet to 100 litres of water, which can be doubled a week later. Personally we don't recommend doing this but if you did this with Shooting Powder you will get exactly the same result from Breakout Powder.

What is Breakout Powder?

Just like Shooting Powder, Breakout Powder is a heavy dose of PK, Phosphorus &  Potassium, the two main ingredients in flowering boosters. It is to be used in the late stages of flowering, generally in week 6 and 7 of an 8 week cycle. Most growers who use this product would use this to build up the PK levels after using their PK 13/14 at week 5. By using this product growers will see increased weight and quality in their crop.

Over the coming weeks we will be writing more reviews on products that will help you find alternatives to the popular products from House & Garden nutrients.

If you want to know about anything regarding this or any other growing issues then please dont hesitate to get in touch or email us with your comments.
